- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Beach is sand mixed with pebbles. Water is warm. Fun waves for kids. Lots of rock ledges to jump from. On the north side of the jumping rocks is a long beach. On the south side of the rocks is a short beach with some shallow "caves" (rock overhang) to sit in or store cooler out of the sun. The easiest way to the beach (long beach north of rocks) is by taking the road on the left before the Oceanfront shanties (looks like a long driveway to a house). There will be a path through the wild rose bushes around the bend. The fastest way to the beach (short beach south of rocks) is to past the shanties. There is a tiny parking area before going down the hill to the wharf/restaurant. This route is steep and unusually slippery. Not recommended for toddlers, elderly or pregnant women. I've carried a toddler down, but I'm confident in my strength and agility.By Mr. Beedz, October 13, 2016
